Hyderabad doctors save woman’s kidneys using intestine reconstruction

Doctors in Hyderabad have saved the kidneys of a 52 -year -old woman through 9.5 -hour laparoscopic surgery.

The woman had undergone a hysterectomy three years ago, but the complications that followed, either by infection or unknown causes, led to the complete deterioration of both ureters, the narrow tubes that transport the urine from the kidneys to the leaf. The condition, described as extremely rare, resulted in recurrent infections, high levels of creatinine and progressive decrease in renal function. The temporary stents had placed their legs before to handle the problem, but their condition continued to the wars.

A detailed evaluation by a team led by the Urologist Consultor Dr. V. Chandramohan at the Preeti Urology and kidney hospital revealed that Bothers was completely damaged along a length of 35 centimeters, leaving only the renal pelvis, the upper part of the intact part.

“In general, laparoscopic surgeries require only three small incisions. However, due to the complexity of this case and the need for multiple angles, we had to make 13 lock eye incisions. Since the ureteros did not work completely, we harvested two segments of 35 cm from the patient’s intestine, the patient’s patient the patient.
