The Hyderab Traffic Police have issued a traffic notice that announced the reopening of the Tarnaka crossing for the trial -based vehicular movement. The crossing, which was previously closed for almost a decade, will be accessible to traffic that moves between the University of Osmania and Lalapet from April 18 to May 2, 2025.

According to the notice issued by the Commissioner Joint Police (Traffic), Joel Davis, vehicles of the University of Osmania may be processed directly to Lalapet and turn around Habsiguda. Similarly, Lalapet vehicles can move directly to the University of Osmania and turn right to mettuguda.

However, certain restrictions will remain in place. Vehicles that are approaching from Mettuguda will not be able to turn right to the University of Osmania. Instead, they must continue to the HUDA complex, take a change of meaning and then turn left in Tarnaka to reach the University of Osmania. Similarly, Habsiguda vehicles will not be able to turn right to Lalapet. They must be processed towards Iriset, take a turning in U and then turn left in Tarnaka to get to Lalapet.

Traffic changes will be implemented in a basic test to assess the viability of the regularization vehicular flow through the Union. The Traffic Police asked travelers to observe the changes and cooperate with them during the trial period.

Police have urged the public to follow the signals and instructions to avoid discomfort.
