BJP workers led by the head of the Jharkhand Unit, Babulal Mara Andi, on Thursday (April 17, 2025), Tok, a protest march in the state capital, Ranchi, demands the resignation of minority issues, Hafizul Hasan on his alleged comments on the Constitution.
Mr. Hasan, who courted the controversy on April 14 for his alleged comment as “Shahat in the Constitution”, however, then said that his comment was misunderstood by the media and said that both Shart and the Constitution were equally important to him.
Holding copies of the Constitution in their hands, the BJP workers led by Mr. Marandi obtained their ‘Aakrosh Pradarshan’ rally from Zilla School Ground against the government led by JMM and the minister.
The president who works in the state of BJP, Ravindra Rai, claimed that the communal forces have been emboldened under the Hemant Soren government.
“It should be expelled from the Government. The country will be executed only on the basis of the Constitution given by Dr. Br Ambedkar and will remain supreme,” said Mr. Rai.
Rajya Sabha deputy Deepak Prakash said that Prime Minister Hemant Soren should immediately seek the resignation of the Minister of Minority.
The BJP march concluded in Raj Bhawan, where a party delegation led by Mr. Mara Andi, delivered a memorandum to Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar on the subject.
“We with the governor and ask him to order the prime minister to dismiss Minister Hafizul Hasan of the Cabinet for violating the dignity of the Constitution, insulting it, addressing it as secondary and prioritizing Sharia over the Constitution,” Mara Andi told journalists outside the Raj Bhawan.
He said that Jharkhand is witnessing a constitutional crisis sponsored by the state government.
“A minister, who lends an oath under the Constitution, is blatantly violating his dignity,” Mara Andi claimed.
