Kancha Gachibowli row: Research scholar arrested for attacking police officials gets bail

More than 10 days after his trial, on Saturday on Saturday he confirmed an official from Hyderabad University, Naveen Erram, was released from judicial custody, confirmed a Gachibowli police officer.

Naveen was awarded bail in a case related to students’ protest against 400 acres land auction in Kachibowli. However, the other student who was arrested, identified as B. Rohit Kumar, has not released his leg, police said.

He was arrested on March 31 by riots and allegedly assaults public servants duration of the protest.

According to the Police, the Telangana Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TGIIC) was carrying out the development work on the site in Kachibowli when a group of individuals met at the site, allegedly trying to stop work by force.

The situation intensified when the group attacked officials and workers with stones and stones, hurting the police assistant commissioner, Madhapur division. According to reports, he suffered serious wounds in the knee and right ankle, police said.
