The scammers are presenting new tricks to disappoint people who use false websites and scam pages. The “Friend of the Father” scam, where the scammers are raised as a trustworthy figure, remains a popular tactic to gain confidence and extract information or confidential money. However, recently, a teenager has become an unlikely hero in the fight against online scams after refusing to fall in love with a false UPI trick.
The incident highlights the growing threat of digital fraud and the importance of staying vigilant.
A video shared in X shows a teenager committed to a scammer who claimed to be his father’s friend. Collecting the scam, pretended cooperation, time storage. The scammer tried to convince the teenager that her father had asked her to transfer money to her UPI account. The scammer said with confidence that he would send him RS 12,000 through the unified payments interface (UPI).
The scammer claimed to have sent RS 10,000 through UPI and sent a false SMS from a personal number, not of his bank. When she tried to cheat RS 18,000, claiming that she had sent by error at RS 20,000 instead of RS 2,000, the fast -thought teenager edited the false SMS to show that she had sent RS RS RS RS RS RS RS RS, “I ” ‘T sem,” saying with confidence “
After this, the scammer was stunned, admitting the defeat with a reluctant “Maan Gaya Main Aapko, Beta” (“I admit that I am with my partner, son”) before abruptly hanging the call.
