Emphasizing that the confidence construction measures were underway in the Murshidabad district affected by the disturbances, the West Bengal Prime Minister, Mamata Banerjee, urged the Governor CV Ananda Bose on Thursday to defer his visit to the areas of violence. The governor, however, said he would visit some of the areas and knew people “to see the soil situation.”

In statements to the persons of the media of the Secretary of State, Mrs. Banerjee said that she would request that “apart from the premises, no one should go [to Murshidabad]”

“Normality has returned and the need for time is to generate trust among people. This is doing the state administration. If that were the case, I could also have gone. Why don’t I go? I’ll go to the right to the right. He said.

Violence broke out in the Murshidabad district on April 11 and 12 in protests against the WAQF Law (amendment). Three people died in violence and one hundred left homeless after several houses were burned. Hundreds of people had to flee to the areas affected by violence and take refuge in the adjoining district of Malda.

Early in the day, a group of victims of Murshidabad with the governor along with the president of the state party Bharatiya Janata (BJP) Sukanta Majumdar. The governor said that the people who had requested that they visit the areas affected by violence. “I go to the field to see the realities in the field for myself. Only then, I will be able to decide in the course of future action and give reports to those who are worried,” said the governor.

Mr. Bose added that Murshidabad victims, partly women, had him. “They had many affliction stories, which were very heartbreaking,” he said.

The main minister, while commenting on the situation in Murshidabad, added that they were “sudden accidents” when an election approached. “Some criminals are accustomed to incite riots. These days, much can be done with money. At such moments, some political leaders are fishing in waters with problems. I want my country and my state to remain peaceful. There is no need,” said Banerjee.

Training their weapons at the BJP, said the cell parties were obsessed with Western Bengal, and “99% of the news that spreads is false.”

The main minister also questioned the extension of the jurisdiction of the Border Security Force (BSF) in the border areas, stating that the measure had weak coordination between the central and state agencies.

“Previously, we used to have access to information about people who came to the state of other countries and the purpose of their visit. But now, the Mha [Ministry of Home Affairs] Under the current Interior Minister of the Union [Amit Shah] Do not share such data, “he said.

On the protests against the WAQF law (amendment), the CM urged people to have faith in the law and observe peaceful protests. “That all in all states live in peace. Have faith in the law. Pacific protests are always possible. First, see what the court has to say,” said Banerjee.
