As violence decreases in Western Bengal against the WAQF Law (amendment), the former financial director of Infosys Mohandas Pai criticized Prime Minister Mamata Banerjee after the Hindus fled from the Murshidabad district after alleged violence of the mafia.
Hundreds of people affected by violence in Murshidabad fled from the area crossing the Bhagirathi river and the Tok shelter in the adjoining district of Malda, according to the officials. The BJP opposition claimed that the Hindus were being attacked in anti-Waqf protests.
There were fire reports caused, the bombs were thrown and people dragged outside their homes and beaten. Some reports even stated that women and girls in the district were abused of the gangsters. The opposition leader, Suvendu Adhikari said that at least 400 people were forced to flee from the Dhulian area of Murshidabad.
“More than 400 Hindus of Dhulian, Murshidabad, promoted by the fear of fans driven by religion were forced to flee through the river and take refuge in the PAR LALPUR High School, Deonapur-Savapur GP, Bengala Isabnagar, Maldanabnagar,” TMC policy of TMC has undertaken radical elements. The Hindus are being hunted, our people run for their lives in their own land! “
‘Mamata not cm of a community’
Sharing a video of people fleeing Murshidabad after the actions of an alleged Muslim mafia, Pai criticized Mamata Banerjee and urged to protect all citizens. “This is very bad, CM @MamataOfficial is CM or All Bengal, not a community. It should protect the life, freedom and property of all citizens,” he said.
On Sunday, the roads were deserted, the stores closed and the people remained inside while the central police and armed forces patrolled sensitive areas in the areas of Dhulian, Shamsheranj and Suti in the last two days. The central forces were deployed in the district by order of the Superior Court of Calcutta.
Several vehicles, including police trucks, were set on fire, stones were thrown into the security forces and roads were blocked when violence shook several parts of Murshidabad doors on the new legislet on Friday. A man and his son were pirate until death, while another man succumbed to bullet wounds.
The BJP has accused the ruling Trinamool Congress of inciting Anti-Hindu violence on behalf of Waqf’s protests, while the match led by Mamata responded by saying that the Saffron Party was spreading the misinformation and use of religion for the creal dysmony.
