Cubbon Park police arrested a 45 -year -old man and recovered value objects, including a luxury watch, two diamond rings worth ₹ 14 Lakh and a bag worth ₹ 75,000, among others of his possession.
The defendant, identified as Mohammed Mastan, from Tamil Nadu and resident of Mahalakshmi’s design, was working as a taxi driver.
According to the Police, an actor and dancer, a resident of Koramangala, went to the Cubbon park for a morning walk on May 11, when the allegedly stole her car and stole her ₹ 22.5 Lakh or value values of her boot.
The defendant was waiting to carry out Queen’s Road when the victim parked his car in front of him. According to the reports, he saw her keep a bag in the boot and leave without blocking. After she went to the walk, the defendant allegedly opened the boot and touched her value objects. The victim saw the open boot and the bag was missing when he returned from the walk.
Based on the images of the CCTV chamber and other technical evidence, the police tracked the accused and recovered the stolen value objects.
