Police registered a case against a man near Kondotty for allegedly offering Triple Talaq to his wife illegally by phone. Police’s women’s cell reserved Veeran Kutty of Tharayittal not only for divorcing his wife illegally, but also for torturing her physically and mentally, after a woman’s complaint.
Police said the couple married about two years ago and has a 10 -month -old son. The woman’s complaint said she stayed with Veeran Kutty only 40 days after her marriage. She lived in the house due to health problems, the complaint said.
Police said the man had administered Triple Talaq through the telephone in violation of the law at a time when the attempts of mediation were between the two families.
