Karnataka Infrastructure Development Minister MB Patil ordered officials to reduce the travel time between Bangalore and Vijayapura from the current 14-15 hours to about 10 hours. By chairing a high -level review meeting with the Railway officials of the Southwest, Mr. Patil proposes changes in infrastructure routing and updates to accelerate trains services throughout the state.

To reduce delays, Mr. Patil suggested diverting Troins in Hubballi South to avoid Hubballi’s main station and avoid changes in the engine in Gadag. Hey, he also proposed to use the Gadag bypass to further save the travel time. Railway officials responded positively and promised to increase suggestions.

The minister reviewed multiple rail projects, including the double follow-up of Gadag-Vijayapura, which could pave the way to Vande Bharat Express once the electrification and track updates are completed near Baggote.

According to an official launch, Hey also addressed groups on the Dharwad – Kitur – Balagavi line, announcing a public meeting in Mammigatti to solve land acquisition problems.
