Miscreants rob 241 gm of gold ornaments from car atop Vijayawada’s Indrakeeladri

The unidentified people committed theft in a car parked on the Ghat road on the top of Indrakeladri. The gold ornaments that weighed about 241 grams were stolen from the car.

According to a city police, the plaintiff Achanta Durga, who settled in Hyderabad, was traveling to Amalapuram to attend a marriage reception on Tuesday (April 15, 2025). The family stopped the car to turn to Innkeladri, and entered the temple to have ‘darshan’ of the deity. Upon return, the devotees discovered that the gold jewels stored in the car were stolen.

After a complaint, the police in a city recorded a case and investigation of Tok Up, said the assistant police commissioner of the west (ACP), N. Durga Rao. “We are verifying the CCTV on the Ghat road. Efforts are made to track thieves,” said Mr. Durga Rao Rao The Hindu Wednesday (April 16, 2025)
