A young man was arrested on Friday in relation to the alleged murder of a six -year -old boy who had disappeared and was then found dead in a pound near bad in this district.

Jojo, 20, resident of Kuzhooor, was the custody of the introduction of tasks in Thorsday Night.

The trial of the man was recorded on Friday and will occur before the court, they added.

The deceased has bone identified as Abel.

The body was found in a pound located in a rice field near the deceased’s house.

The child had disappeared around 6.20 pm on Saturday from a nearby road. His body was found around 9.30 pm during a search performed by the locals and the police.

The initial investigation suggested that the child was pushed to the pond and killed, police said.

Jojo had previously been involved in a case of robbery.

The police chief of the Rural District, B Krishnakumar, visited the place and reviewed the investigation.

The body will be transferred to the Faculty of Government Medicine, Thrissur, for carrying out an autopsy of the morgue of a private hospital, in Kuzhikattussery, near here, police said.
