Nagenthran set to be 13th BJP T.N. chief

Nainin Nagenthran, who will become the 13th president of Tamil Nadu BJP, was the only person who presented the nomination for the position on Friday.

After presenting the nominations for the position of president of the state of BJP, Shah published in X, “Tamil Nadu BJP has received a nomination for the position of state president only of Shri @nainarbjp Ji …”

Praising the president of BJP Tamil Nadu Saliente, K. Annamalai, said: “As president of the Tamil Nadu Bjp unit, Shri @annamalai_k Ji has achieved commendable achievements. If it is the policy of the Shrimodi Ji Police, the Ji Darendramodi Ji.

The sources of the party said that the nomination of Mr. Nagenthran was proposed by Annamalai, Minister of State for the Union for Information and Transmission of L. Murugan, former minister of the Union, Pon. Radhakrishnan, H. Raja, Coimbatore South Mla Vanathi Srinivasan, VP Duraisamy, P. Kanasabathy, Pon. V. BalaganaPathy, KP Ramalingam and Narayan Thirupathy.

The 64 -year -old leader was first chosen for the Assembly of Tamil Nadu in 2001 from Tirunelveli’s seat as Aiadmk candidate. Duration The Aiadmk regime (2001-06), headed by former Prime Minister Jayalithaa, was appointed minister and celebrated the transport portfolios, industries and electricity.

He thought he was chosen from the same seat in 2011, when Aiadmk captured power again, he was not given minister. He lost his seat due to a narrow margin in the elections of the 2006 and 2016 Assembly. Almost eight months after the death of Jayalithaha in December 2016, Mr. Nagenthran joined the BJP in August 2017. A few months later he was appointed vice president of the State Unit of Parties.

In 2021, he was chosen again from the seat as BJP nominated and was appointed leader of the Legislature Party in the Assembly of Tamil Nadu. Mr. Nagenthran also underaged without success of Ramanathapuram’s seats and Tirunelveli Lok Sabha in the 2019 and 2024 general elections, respectively.
