The Coast Guard of India and Gujarat Ats seized a consignment of narcotics of 300 kg worth 1800 million rupees and Gujarat Ats near the coast of Gujarat. The operation is aligned with the vision “Bharat free of drugs” of the government.

The authorities of the Maritime Limiting (IMBL) line have seized a shipment of 300 kilograms worth 1800 million rupees, near the coast of Gujarat. The action was the result of a rapid operation of the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) with Gujarat ATS on the night of April 12 to 13.
When detected the ICG ship, the smuggers threw smuggling and fled through the IMBL. The shipment was recovered at sea and was delivered to ATS for greater investigation, said ICG.
Under the vision of the “drug -free bharat” of the government, the authorities have intensified their campaign to burst the drug racket throughout the country.
After 30.4 kg of methamphetamine tablets worth RS 24.32 million rupees in Assam last week, Interior Minister of the Union, Amit Shah, had said that the government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is cutting the drug posters with full power. He said that drug governments offensives continued with ruthless force.

Between 2004 and 2014, 3.63 Lakh kilograms of drugs were seized, which increased seven kilograms of 24 Lakh in 10 years between 2014 and 2024. The value of drugs destroyed in the 10 years between 2004 and 2014 was RS 8,150 million rupees, which has increased seven rupees to 56,861 million rupees in the last 10 years.
The Interior Minister had said that these figures should not be interpreted as an increase in drug use, but that the action is now being tasks and results are being achieved.
