NCB seizes 30.4 kg of meth tablets worth ₹24.32 crore in Assam

The office control of the office (NCB) seized 30.4 kg of methamphetamine tablets worth ₹ 24.32 million rupees and arrested three hard bares two separated operations in Silchar from Assam on April 6, he said on Thursday (April 10, 2025). The forbidden substance is known popular as tablets ‘Yaba’.

“The Modi government is cutting the drug cartels with total power,” said Interior Minister Amit Shah, in a position on X.

He added: “In our vision of building a drug -free bharat, our agencies launched massive operations that strangle drug cartels and confiscated 30.4 kg of methamphetamine tablets worth ₹ 24.32 million rupees while arrested three people in Assam. Congratulations to the NCB police, the Assam Police and the CRPF in this great progress.”

Hidden drugs in cars

In an operation led by intelligence developed about three months and carried out jointly with the Assam Police, NCB Guwahati intercepted a car on April 6, recovering 10 packages containing 9.9 kg or methamphetamine tablets. The smuggling was hidden in a cavity at the start of the vehicle, said the NCB.

“The only car occupant who is a resident of Churacandpur, Manipur, was arrested on the spot. The investigations are activated to identify the late and forward links,” the office added.

Later that night, in another operation led by Intelligence by the NCB, the Assam Police and the Central Reserve Police force (CRPF), Mahindra Thar was intercepted. “The authorities recovered 20.5 kg of methamphetamine tablets packed in 21 hidden packages inside the vehicle’s spare tire. Both occupants of the vehicles that also belong to Churacandpur were tasks in custody,” said the NCB.

The NCB had previously seized around 110 kg or methamphetamine tablets in two operations on March 13. Duration The seizure of 7.5 kg in Silchar in Assam, a person was arrested, resident of Moreh, Manipur. In the seizure of 102.5 kg in Lilong, near Imphal, Manipur, three accused people have been arrested.
