New Chairperson and Members of Telangana Human Rights Commission take charge; convene sitting to take up 300 old cases

The retired judge from the Superior Court, Judge Shameem Akther assumed office as president of the Telangana Human Rights Commission, assumed the position of the positions on Thursday (April 17, 2025). The orders appointed him for the position were issued by the state government on April 11.

Together with him, Sivadi Praveena, judge of the district of grade of retired selection, was appointed member (judicial) and the Officer of Ias retired B. Kishore as a member (non -judicial). They also load on the occasion.

Immediately after assuming the office, they called a bank to take 300 ancient cases related to the alleged human rights violations, as well as a press release.

Justice Shameem Akther said the Commission would do everything possible to achieve the objectives of the Human Rights Protection Law, 1993, by guaranteeing better protection and promotion of human rights in the State.
