There has not been a power tariff walk, the coalition led by TDP during the reins in June 2024, has reiterated the Minister of Energy Gottipati Ravikumar.

In statements to the media after inaugurating a substation of 33/11 kV in the Tidco housing colony in Vuyyuru on Thursday, Mr. Ravi Kumar said that the government struggled to reduce electricity costs and improve energy infrastructure.

He said the YSRCP was extending lies that power tariffs had increased bone to tarnish the image of the coalition government. The onerous tariffs born by the people were due to the steep walks that had been affected to convert the YSRCP regime, he insisted.

Mr. Ravi Kumar said the government was strengthening the energy supply network to stimulate industrial growth and the development of maritime ports. He advised officials to disseminate public awareness about the schemes of Prime Minister Surya Ghar and Prime Minister Kusum, which aimed to transform households into self -sufficient energy producers, thus reducing their electricity bills and providing an uninterrupted day to farmers.

“Andhra Pradesh has a tremendous potential in the renewable energy (RE) sector and efforts are being made to become the favorite to take advantage of it,” added the minister.

Machilipatnam MP Vallabhaneni Balashowri and Penamaluru Mla Bode Prasad were present.
