Once Earning In Dubai, Now Stealing Rickshaws On Streets: Thane Man’s Descent After Wife’s Betrayal

A 41 -year -old man, once he worked in Dubai, was arrested by the police for stealing Rickshaws to finance his drug habit. Police recovered four rickshaws and value objects worth 3.3 Lakh.

In a surprising turn of the events, a 41 -year -old man once used at Dubai airport landed Barsind bars in Thane, Maharashtra, after allegedly stealing Rickshaws to finance a drug born of anguish and isolation.

The defendant, identified as Shabab Hussain Nayab Hussain Rizvi Syed, has a postgraduate degree in commerce. However, his academic achievements and his life once stable were unbalanced after his wife abandoned him while working abroad in Dubai. According to the police, this emotional agitation pushed him to drug addiction, which soon became a series of robberies to maintain his dependence.

Naupada police recently arrested Syed in relation to a series of auto -ckshaw robberies in Thane and Mumbai. They recovered four stolen rickshaws and value objects worth 3.3 Lakh of their possession.

Police officers revealed that Syed’s descent to crime went up after watching a YouTube video that showed how to steal a Rickshaw. Taking signs of the clip, I would steal a vehicle, use it to transport passengers and pocket the rates to buy narcotics. Once the vehicle ran out of fuel, he abandoned it and repeated the cycle with a new robbery.

The case opened after a complaint filed by Mohammad Jamal Sheikh, a naupada resident whose Rickshaw disappeared on March 30. Police tracked the crime to Syed and confessed their participation in multiple similar crimes.
