Inspired by the London Oyster card, the unified smart card ‘Mumbai 1’ aims to simplify the payment system, helping to reduce Queeus and travel delay

Soon a unified smart card called ‘Mumbai 1’ will be launched to allow access without problems to public transport in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis announced on Friday.
The smart card will allow travelers to use a single sliding for access without seams, the mono railway, local trains and public buses.
The infrastructure for the smart card is expected to be final in a month, racing the way for a launch without problems.
“The card architecture will be ready in a month,” said Fadnavis Duration, a joint press conference that is held with the Ashwini Vaishnaw Railroad Minister.

Ashwini Vaishnaw Railroad Minister announced that infrastructure projects worth 1.73 Lakh Crore are currently in progress in Maharashtra, with additional rupees of RS 23,778 million sanctioned rupees for new developments this year.
Among the main updates, 238 new local trains with air conditioning for the suburban rail network of Mumbai have been addressed, with the production that will begin soon.
Emphasizing Mumbai’s participation in this investment, Vaishnaw pointed out that projects that totalize RS 17,000 million rupees are underway in the city, with the aim of modernizing their railway infrastructure significantly.
Prime Minister Fadnavis also shared that Gondia-Ballarshah’s railway line in East Maharashtra has received the green light. The new route will improve connectivity between Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh and Telangana, with the center assigning RS 4,019 million rupees for its development.
In a movement to promote tourism, Fadnavis announced the launch of the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj circuit train, which will offer a tour of strong and historical sites linked to the legendary governor Marathha.
