The United States Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, will urge his Indian and Pakistani counterparts to not intensify, said his spokesman on Tuesday, while the tensions rise among the archirival after a deadly attack on Kashmir administered by India.
“We are reaching both parties and tell, of course, so that they do not intensify the situation,” said state department spokeswoman Tammy Bruce, journalists.
“The secretary hopes to speak with the Foreign Ministers of Pakistan and India as soon as today or tomorrow,” he said.
“He is encouraging other national leaders, other foreign ministers, to also communicate with countries on this issue,” he said.
