Kaanappadavukal, a photography exhibition that celebrates Kole Fields agricultural heritage in Kerala, held in the Kerala Lalithakala Akademi Art Gallery, is attracting crowds.
Organized by the Kole Birders collective, the exhibition shows 240 photo tasks of around 100 bird observers, offering visitors a vivid in the unique ecosystem of Kole wetlands. The initiative aims to raise awareness, partly between children and young adults, about the ecological importance of these landscapes.
Opening the exhibition, the collector Arjun Pandiyan praised the efforts of the organizers and assured total support for similar environmental awareness campaigns. Mini Anto, which represents the collective, highlighted the importance of connecting the young generation with nature through visual narration. She emphasized that the exhibition is a step towards the awareness of the public to the fragile biodiversity of the region.

Exhibition photographs capture a wide variety of issues, from rare migratory birds and wetland fauna to agricultural practices and landscape characteristics.
A children’s art session will be a hero on May 4, encouraging young visitors to express their impressions of nature through drawing and painting.
