The Telangana Prime Minister, A. Revanth Reddy, has ordered interested officials to place the draft bill that provides for labor security, insurance coverage and other comforts to concert workers and platforms in the public domain to obtain the opinions of the interested parties.

Officials have the order to bring to consult the suggestions, recommendations and objections of people in the preparation of the final bill. This will be the second bill after the Bharati Law (Rights Registry) that will be placed in the public domain before its promulgation.

The main minister held a meeting with concert workers, representatives of his unions and senior officials from different departments on Monday. The authorities explained it to the most prominent characteristics of the draft of the Telangana concert and the platform workers’ bill.

Mr. Reddy wanted officials to maintain the draft online bill to obtain people’s opinions to implement effective legislation. The suggested changes in the bill to ensure that they were cordial relations and effective coordination between companies and aggregators, in addition to the labor security of these workers.

Four Lakh workers at the concert in Telangana

There were about four Lakh concert workers involved in food delivery, transportation, delivery of packages and other exchanges in the state. The steps must be tasks to take views and recommendations of all sections. Officials must focus on giving final touches to the provisions that would be incorporated into the proposed legislation.

April 25 deadline

The Prime Minister established the deadline of April 25 for officials to prepare the final draft of the legislation. The deadline was established to ensure that the law would take effect as of May 1, coinciding with International Labor Day. Mr. Reddy recalled that the Congress Party had promised to bring comprehensive legislation to protect the interests of concert workers and platforms before the previous one [2023] Assembly elections.

Insurance coverage order ₹ 5 Lakh in December 2023

The Government of the Congress had issued an order on December 30, 2023 that provides an accidental insurance coverage of ₹ 5 Lakh each to the families of concert workers and platforms that meet accidental deaths. He addressed officials to ensure that the proposal legislet becomes a model to follow for the country.
