Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday (April 14, 2025) pointed out a commercial flight from Hisar to Ayodhya and placed the stone of the foundation of the new terminal building at the airport.
In line with its commitment to make air trips safe, affordable and accessible to all, Prime Minister Modi placed the stone of the base of the new terminal building of the Maharaja Airport agrascan to be built at an estimated cost of ₹ 410 million rupees.
It will include a last generation passenger terminal, a load terminal and an ATC building. The project is aimed at being complete in two years.
On the Prime Minister of Modi, pointing out the inaugural flight of Hisar to Ayodhya, a statement had previously said that the scheduled flights of Hisar to Ayodhya twice a week, and three flights in a week to Jammu, Ahmedabad, Jaipur and Chandigarh will mark a significant leap in the Aviation connectivity of Haryana.

Prime Minister Modi is in Haryana to launch several development initiatives worth 10,000 million rupees in the state on Monday to commemorate the anniversary of the birth of Bhim Rao Ambedkar, an iconic figure known for its role in the Emancipation of Dalit and frame the Constitution.
The Prime Minister of Haryana, Nayab Singh Saini, and several state ministers were among those present at the event.
