Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who arrived here on Friday morning, received detailed information on the alleged group violation of a young woman in his Constitution and asked the officials to take the most strict measures possible against those involved.
Immediately after landing in Varanasi, the Police Commissioner, the Division Commissioner and the District Magistrate informed the Prime Minister about the “recent incident of criminal violation in the city,” according to the statement.
“They were instructed to take the strictest possible measures against the culprits and implement appropriate measures to avoid such incidents in the future,” he said.
The case involves the alleged rape of gangs of a 19 -year -old woman for 23 people about six days.
According to the police, the defendant drugged the victim and transferred it among several hotels during the duration of abuse. Until Monday, six of the defendants had arrested.
