Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Vision Varanasi, his parliamentary constitution, on Friday (April 11, 2025), where he will go to a public meeting and open and place the basic stones of 44 projects worth ₹ 3,880 million rupees.
The conformity with the Divisional Commissioner of Varanasi, Kaushal Raj Sharma, among the projects that will be inaugurated are schemes focused on rural development, including 130 drinking water projects, 100 new Anganwadi centers, 356 libraries, a polytechnic university.
“The prime minister will also open a traffic shelter in the police lines and the police barracks in Ramnagar and four rural roads,” he said.
Focusing on urban development, Prime Minister Modi will open projects in Shastri Ghat and Samne Ghat, together with several beautification projects carried out by the railroads and the Varanasi Development Authority (VDA).
Among the projects for which fundamental stones will be placed, 25 are worth $ 2,250 million of rupees, with an important approach in strengthening the city’s electricity infrastructure. This includes the construction of 15 new substations, installation of new transformers and placement or 1,500 km or new electric lines.
A new 220 kV substation will also appear near Chaukaghat, with the aim of providing an uninterrupted electricity supply 24 hours.
Sharma said that airport -related infrastructure projects are also on the agenda, including placing a tunnel for expansion.

PM Modi will also go to a public meeting in Mehndiganj de Rohaniya.
