The suspended IAS officer appeared before the chief secretary Sarada Moradharan for an audience on Wednesday.

Mr. Prasanth is expected to respond disciplinary charges filed against him by the Government. The Government accused him of belittling the senior officials on social networks, interrupting the cohesion of civil service, insubordination and violation of civil services rules.

Previously, Mrs. Muralleedharan had rejected the request of Mr. Prasanth to broadcast the audience live. He had also commented at the audience on social networks. Prime Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that the problem was purely disciplinary and that the government was obliged to follow the due procedure.
