Two property traffickers were arrested for allegedly killing a woman after calling her to her location under the pretext of delivering a real estate role in the ETAWAH of Uttar Pradesh.
The defendant, identified as Shivendra Yadav and Gaurav, supposedly attracted the woman to her office, forced her to drink alcohol, strangled her death and then set fire to her body before getting rid of him in a river, the authorities said.
Police recovered Anjali’s mutilated body, which had been missing for five days, near the river on Saturday.
The case came to light after Anjali’s family discovered his burned scooter near a drain and filed a complaint, accusing the merchant of property murders.
According to the family, the defendant also made a video call to his father, showing Anjali’s body, NDTV Reported.
His sister, Kiran, claimed that the defendant had tasks of RS 6 Lakh of Anjali for a land agreement and attracted her to the pretext of delivering the documents before killing her.
Duration, Shivendra Yadav and his partner confessed the crime. Greater investigation is being carried out on the matter, police said.
