Protestant teachers who lost their appointments after the order of the Supreme Court with the Minister of Education of Western Bengal, Bratya Basu, on Friday (April 11, 2025) in the Western Bengal School Service Commission (SSC) Bhawan. After the meeting, the teachers said that government officials have assured that they will publish a list of contaminated and not contaminated candidates before April 21.

Thousands of teachers who lost their work released a march demanding that the authorities release the recognition of the optical brand (OMR) of their exams to segregate the valid work holders of the invalids.

Leaving the meeting with Mr. Basu, protesting the teacher Mehboob Mondal said they did not relieve themselves completely until they received a legal order from the Supreme Court to restore their work. They have said that their protests continually until their work is restored.

“The Government has said that they will publish lists of contaminated and not contaminated candidates before April 21 after the legal consultation. They said they do not have the OMR leaves, but any of the OMR leaves of the central investigation office (CBI) has the duration of UNUANsh people.

After the meeting, Mr. Basu said the government has no problem in the publication of the lists. “We will ask the SSC to publish the lists according to the findings of the CBI,” said the minister.

Before the meeting, the teachers’ officials and the Department of Education negotiated for approximately one hour to decide on the number of representatives who can meet with Mr. Basu. The authorities wanted four people to attend the meeting, but the teachers insisted that four people representing almost 26,000 people who lost their work was unacceptable to them. Finally, 12 people were allowed to attend the meeting with the Minister of Education.

There was a great police and fast -acting contingent (RAF) published on the site to prevent the thousands of protesters from reaching SSC Bhawan.

The teachers came with posters around their neck that said: “We are not criminals, we are teachers.”

This occurred after the Protestant teachers were under the police cane on April 9 against the District Inspector (TUE) or the school office in Kolkata. Several government officials blamed teachers for instigating violence.

Besids, the Kolkata police commissioner, bun Kumar Verma, said Friday: “We did not expect the teachers to take attack to the police. But there were strangers present with the teachers.”

Publish OMR

SSC officials had previously informed both the Supreme Court and the Superior Court of Calcutta duration of the procedures of this case that the OMR leaves have destroyed their legs, including their digital copies.

The protesters have a demonstration in the leg that makes a demonstration of sitting in front of the SSC office demanding that its OM leaves be published.

According to a statement made by the chief secretary Boodj Pant, the Western Bengal Government has already presented a “explanatory request” before the Supreme Court, where they have the “not had” candidates that can continuously can their services.
