The Prime Minister of Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami, was congratulated on Monday by Dr. Br Ambedkar Mahamanchanch for implementing the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in Uttarakhand.

The event, organized in Bhel Ground in Haridwar on the occasion of the 135th anniversary of the Birth of the manufacturer of the Constitution Dr. Ir. Bhimrao Ambedkar, saw the participation of thousands of people.

In his speech, Mr. Dhami described Ambedkar as a visionary and said he believed that true equality in society was not possible until all citizens of the country received equal rights.

“This belief inspired him to include revolutionary concepts such as the uniform civil code in the Constitution,” he said.

The main minister also announced the construction of Baba Saheh Samrasa Sthal in Haridwar to educate future generations about the lives and history of the social reformers of the programmed communities, together with the Indian record.

According to SCP/TSP schemes operated by the Social Welfare Department, multipurf buildings will be built in enabled areas predominantly by scheduled castes/tribes on behalf of prominent social reformers of these communities. In addition, special awareness programs in schools and universities will be organized through the caste commission scheduled to inform the youngest generation about the well -being schemes and the rights related to the programmed communities.
