Stating that the movement of the state of religion for Lingayat was erroneously projected by some as a ploy to divide the community, the minister of large and medium industries and the development of infrastructure, MB Patil has said if the state of religion had materialized, then all Lingayat.
He was going to a meeting after presenting the bust of the social reformer of the twelfth century Basavanna (Basavehwara) in Dhanyal’s village in Babaleshwar Taluk or the Vijayapura district on Wednesday.
“The religion of Lingayat founded by Basavanna in the twelfth century was an independent religion until 1881. However, in 1881, the rulers of Mysuru, eliminated Lingayats from the independent religion column and included them under the Shudra.”
“If Lingayat or Basava Dharma, who has compassion as a Quid of Religion, follows correctly, then there will be no war situation throughout the world. In the coming years, India will become Basa Bharat and automatically, a harmonious egalitarian society will emerge,” he said.
Sri Basava Jaya Mrutyunjaya Swami or Lingayat Panchasali Peetha or Koodalasangama thanked Mr. Patil for facilitating his generous donation The resumption of the construction of the gigantic statue of Basavanna in Kumbalgod in Bengaluru who arrested Midway due to the shortage of funds.
