The underline that LPG connections have risen to 33 million rupees of the first 14 million rupees under the Modi government.

Puri said LPG prices are lower despite an increase in the price of the Saudi contract. Previously, Puri had said that the Saudi CP (international reference point for the price of LPG) increased by 63%, from $ 385 per metric ton in July 2023 to $ 629 per metric ton in February 2025.

The price of the cylinder has increased by RS 50, from RS 803 to RS 853 for general and RS 503 to RS 553 by 14.2 kg of cylinder under the UJJWALA scheme. The walk applies to both beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana and general consumers.

Despite the increase in the special tax, retail fuel prices will remain unchanged. More, if current prices of crude oil remain stable, WTOs can even have the flexibility of reducing fuel prices. It is also to notice that there is a difference for prices of RS 10-12 per liter between the states of OpseD-Rulled and Opposition-Rult, with fiercest gasoline and diesel bees in the latter, Puri added.

Puri also established that India now obtains the crude oil from 40 countries, a significant increase of only 27 suppliers in 2007. Hey emphasized that the energy import strategy of India is guided by the discounts offered by suppliers, since nationals prioritize the purchase.
