RJD MLC “digitally arrested” for hours in Bihar

Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) Mohammad Qari Sohab has alleged that he underwent a “digital trial” for several houses in his timid criminals of Patna that they impected. Based on its complaint filed on April 10, the Patna cyber police station has registered a first information report (FIR) under the relevant sections of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, and the Information Technology Law (TI), 2000.

In the FIR, Mr. Sohoib, who re -escorted Muzafarpur District, declared that he recovered the calls around 10:30 am on April 8 of an individual who claims to be an official of the Cyber ​​Unit of the Mumbai Police. The person who allegedly called him from participating in a case of money laundering of several million rupees and fraud transactions linked to a Canara bank account in Mumbai.

To provide credibility to their claims, the person who calls a false case number and mentioned a mobile phone number linked to the MLC. Mr. Sohoib relieved that the fraucher forced him to reveal personal information, including his Aadhaar number and the details of his assets. Hey, they also said they forced him to sign a white role.

According to the complaint, the person who called threatened Mr. Sohoib with a serious legal action and warned him that he could be killed if he tried to leave his home or contact anyone to get help, effectively keeping him confined through intimidation.

Confirming the case registration, Raghvendra Mani Tripathi, a senior police officer associated with the cyber police station in Patna, said: “The police have registered a case on the MLC complaint and is thoroughly investigating it.”
