The Congress on Saturday filed a complaint with the police against the president of the BJP Palakkad district for his allegedly threatening comments about MLA Rahul Mamkotathil a day ago.
The alleged threats of the BJP district, Prasanth Sivan, arrived following a row about appointing a skills development center for disabled people after the founder of Rashtriya Sanhamsevak Sangh, KB Hedgewar. The Congress, the Youth Congress and the activists of the Federation of the Youth Federation of India (DYFI) of Congress had interrupted on Friday the stones placement ceremony of the foundation of the center organized by the municipality of Palakkad governed by BJP.
After the interruption, Mr. Sivan, on the same day, said that Palakkad Mla Mamkotathil would not be allowed to set foot in the district. It is against this comment that Congress has filed a complaint with the police, said a source of the party.

On Friday, the BJP made a march to the Grand Old Parties district office shouting slogans in favor of Hedgegewar. On the same day, Mr. Mamkotathil directed a protest of the party against the appointment of the skills development center after Hedgewar and also commented that Congress would oppose the initiative carrying out strong agitation. He said that no proposal was placed before the Municipal Council to appoint the project after Hedgegewar and said that the legal appeal would also be tasks against him.
