The court had issued the directive based on a petition presented by women in collective cinema.

The Committee included 27 members representing several cinematographic bodies and two members of the Kerala State Women Commission. Mr. Nanthiyattu said that a strict action against drug abuse and harassment complaints in cinematographic locations will begin.

The Tres Member Committee appointed by the AMMA AD-Hoc Committee to investigate the complaint filed by the actor will send a notice to Mr. Chacko seeking his response to the accusations.
