The president and managing director of the company N. Balam, directors of the company and other senior executives held a virtual meeting with the rank officers of the 762 manager of SCCL and the Deputy Manager and explained on Tuesday the company’s work culture and what was expected.

Mr. Balam asked them to develop a deep understanding of the company’s financial statement, future plans and business expansion strategies and also serve as solid support pillars for the future of Singeni. He affirmed that the current price of Singeni coal was much higher than any other coal company in the country.

As a result, consumers were the cheapest preferred alternatives, which represented a serious threat to the Singeni balance. He emphasized the need to increase productivity and reduce production costs in the company’s mines and aim to reduce the price of coal in ₹ 1,000 per ton. Young officers urged to contribute to this goal.

With some existing and old mines snacks, he declared that the production of coal would begin in new blocks: Naini in Odisha, VK OpenCast in Kothagudem, JK OpenCast in Yellandu and Goleti OpenCast Target or 76 million tons.

He said Singareni was also actively working to acquire coal blocks in other states as well. However, he clarified that in the future, the company could not depend solely on the production of coal for survival, since environmental regulations and exhaustion of coal reserves were expected to reduce the generation of thermal energy and the use of coal in the next 20 years.

To address this, Singareni has decided to enter critical mineral mining and the central government was also offering full support to producers in this area. If necessary, joint companies with other companies would also be explored. He pointed out that the overload sand units were already configured, and the plans were ongoing to produce flying ashes and carbon dioxide. Proposals were also being prepared to establish a geochemical laboratory in the Singrení region.

When stating that the state government pointed to 20,000 solar megawatts in the next five years, the CMD suggested that the officials point to at least 4000 MW at 5,000 MW. The current thermal energy generation of 1,200 MW increased to 2,000 MW by establishing a new 800 MW plant in the same place. In addition, a 1,600 MW plant was planned in Odisha.
