Six dead in an explosion at a fire cracker unit in Anakapalli

According to the reports, up to six people were killed and seven people injured in an explosion that occurred in a fire cookie unit in Kaillasapatnam in Kotlavuratla Mandal here in the Anakapalli district, on Sunday (April 13).

According to the initial reports of the Anakapalli district police, the explosion occurred around 12.45 pm

All bodies were found shattered at the explosion site. It is not yet clear how many people worked at the scene at the time of the explosion, but in the initial investigation by the district administration, it was discovered that, since it was Sunday, there were about 15 workers in the Petardo Unit.

According to the reports, the Petardo unit is about two kilometers from the outskirts of the town. The locals rushed to the scene when they heard the explosion and begged to rescue the injured.

The Local Police, together with emergency services, fire offers rushed to the place. Firefighters have been involved in the fire. The injured people were transferred and admitted to a private hospital.

Starting Minister V. Anitha goes to the accident site. He will also visit the hospital, where they were admitted to the victims. The district collector Vijaya Krishnan ordered an incident investigation.
