In an incident of chill that has stirred shock, fear and speculation in a village in the Merutut district of Uttar Pradesh, a 25 -year -old man was killed after a bee bite by a snake that is believed to be a copper. However, what they left to the surprised locals is that the snake continued to bite the lifeless body of the man and remained close to him for hours, raising whispers of superstition and revenge.
The victim, identified as Amit, also known for her Mickey nickname, was a resident of Akbarpur Sadat Village in the Bahsuma Police Station area. A worker by profession and father of three children, Amit had returned to the house of work around 10 pm on Saturday. After a simple meal, he retired to his room and went to sleep, without realizing that death slid shortly after.
According to a report by Navbharat’s times, the poisonous snake believed it was a cobra, it does not move once or twice, but sometimes turning the night. According to the reports, the witnesses affirmed that when the family discovered their body around 5:30 am on Sunday morning, the snake was still clinging to Amit’s hand, biting him right after death. The horrible view left the family screaming terror.
“Usually, Amit wakes up early,” said a relative, saying that when they aroused him on Sunday morning, there was no response and the snake was there, still biting.
Initially, the family tried to scare the snake, but remained fixed in place. In despair, they called the Local Police, who organized a snake charming from the near town of Mahmoodpur Sikheda. According to the reports, only the lovely one fought to submit the snake, which showed unusual persistence and aggression.
Soon, Amit was urgently taken to a local hospital, but was declared dead upon arrival. A post Mortem exam revealed ten different fang brands in his body, Aaj Tak reported. It is not clear if Amit died while he slept or was aware and suffering.
Police officials confirmed that the family has not filed a formal complaint and that the body was sent by autopsy after standard legal formalities.
What has now pushed the village is not only a complaint, but a growing speculation and restlessness. Many residents are muttering the possibility of “revenge” by the snake. While the idea that snakes that sustain resentment are based deeply on folklore, such beliefs do not have a scientific basis. However, the chilling behavior of the snake, his refusal to leave the body and continued biting just after death, left the villagers shaken.
“This was just a snake bite,” said an old man in the town, “felt like something else … like the snake had a purpose.”
The snakes usually do not remain close to a human after a bite, a local herpetologist told Aaj Branch. What happened with Amit was very unusual and could be explained by environmental triggers, but the emotional and cultural clash that was attributed is understandable, he said.
The police have not yet confirmed the exact species of the snake, he thought that the villagers insist that it was a cobra, based on their appearance and posture. Wild life experts have not yet introduced more to investigate more.
Amit, the second of four brothers, leaves a wife and three children. His death has tasks in an almost mythical dimension due to circumstances, feeding a mixture of fear, sadness and mystery in Meerut’s village.
