An army staff was kurad in a shooting after the alert troops intercepted heavily armed terrorists trying to sneak on this side from the other side of the control line near Jammu on Friday night (April 11, 2025), said the security official.

The troops that monitored the border collected the movement of a group of terrorists in the Keri Battal area in the Akhnoor sector, which led to an encounter, officials said.

The shooting was happening when the latest reports were received, officials said, adding that the entire area has been cordoned off with additional reinforcements.

The injured personnel were evacuated to the hospital and said that his condition was “stable,” officials said.
