Bangalore Creative Circus witnessed a day of collaboration, game and civic innovation such as Solvecon 2025, organized by Reap Benefit, a social company that works with young people, brought together some 300 young people in spirit. The sixth edition of Solvecon saw young people participate in multiple activities from practical games to reflection and problem solving.
A mela of action
The day ‘Without telephone’ began with a high -energy ‘mela’ with 14 shocking organizations that present playful experiences and practices on climatic action, civic participation, social justice and local governance. The young people participated in interactive games, simulations and stories that caused conscience and empathy. The participating organizations included Mercy Mission, Terrum, Jhatkaa, Quest Alliance, Bannada Dara, Avarna, the Maitri Arha Foundation, Defy Project, Selco Foundation, Momentum Shifts and Dream to Dream.
In the heart of Solvecon were the voices of Kuppendra S, Aakash Kudla, Ashwarya Selvam and Shiva Kumar, who turned the local challenges into bold action.
Raichur Kuppendra addresses plastic waste, advocates migrant workers and directly involves policy formulators.
Aakash Kudla de Mangalore, founder of Avarana, recycles glass waste in home decoration. His work has reached more than 50 houses saving more than 860 kg or waste.
Aishwarya Selvam de Bengaluru directed a mass cleaning campaign, joining BBMP students, citizens and workers to claim public spaces.
Shiva Kumar de Bengaluru works to empower the LGBTQ+ community through legal assistance and inclusive entrepreneurship.
Interactive Solutions Jams
‘Solvecon Solutions’ Solution, led by expert facilitators, offered practical learning that covers topics such as Eco-Anxiety, historical simulations, data-based change, systemic thinking and base marketing. These laboratories, facilitated by Namya Sinha, Abhijit Giridhar, Arpit Arora, Apas Anand, Gauthamraj Elango, Subhani Nada and Praveen Kasmas, mixed game, empathy and real world problems to help.

“Solvecon is a look at the future we are building with young people in the center,” said Kuldeep Dantewadia, founder of Reap Benefit. “Our mission through Solvecon is not to teach agency, but unlock it,” he added.
Since its inception in 2024, Solvecon has hired about 800 young people in cities such as Jalandhar, Mysore, Nanded, Ludhiana and Bengaluru.
