State to provide additional funds to over 43,131 noon-meal centres

The Minister of Social Welfare and Women’s Rights, P. Getha Jevan, announced Wednesday at the Assembly that 43,131 midday food centers, which serve 42.71 LAKD recite an additional fund of ₹ 61.61 million rupees.

Pregnant women and new mothers would be trained in breastfeeding to prevent children’s deaths due to incorrect breastfeeding techniques, he added.

Mrs. Jeevan also said that ₹ 2.02 million rupees would be spent to train workers at the base to measure and monitor early care and childhood education, and nutritional and developmental deficiencies.

A friendly environment for children in special courts that the districts of Heart Pocso in the districts of Chennai, Kancheepuram, Dharmapuri and Virudhunagar will be created at a cost of ₹ 50 Lakh.

The observation homes of the Government of Tamil Nadu and the special homes and the protection homes would use 10 social workers and counselors to treat the psychological problems of children.

Special camps

Mrs. Jeevan also said that special camps are held throughout the state to ensure that people with disabilities have access to additional equipment to make the issue self -sufficient.

A total of 625 camps would take place in 99 areas of the Corporation, 138 municipalities and 388 Unions Panchayat about three months to implement this.
