Prime Minister N. Chandababu Naidu said that the state government will extend full support for the rapid completion of the central tribal university that is being built in Kaninavalasa in mandal mentioned in the Vizianaram district.

The university is being built in 561 acres of land, with administrative buildings, shelters and academic blocks. The CM advised the VC to accelerate the construction and complete all the works within a year so that the buildings can be operational.
They made sure that the state government will sacrifice complete cooperation in this regard. The CM promised to accelerate works related to essential facilities such as drinking water, electricity and approximation roads. He also instructed worried officials to start working on these fronts.
When the VC mentioned that completing a 2 km approach road would help greatly, the CM secured the immediate beginning of those works. University officials informed the CM that, although there is a requirement for 100 teaching staff, only 18 are currently on lists. Responding to this, Chandababu Naidu said that would be writing to the prime minister requesting an increase in staff. The tribal university was established in 2018 in the mandate of the previous TDP government, but since then it has been operating in the facilities of interest. Due to the negligence of the previous government, construction had not progressed. However, after the new coalition government came to power, it has focused special on the development of the university.
Currently, around 600 students are registered in several courses. The CM expressed its confidence that the student’s strength would increase once the permanent campus was ready. He instructed officials to accelerate construction. CM also urged the university to ensure that teaching is aligned with the development of skills and employment opportunities.
