The four police station of the Police Station of sector 18 allegedly extorted the money of a street seller who sold tea, paratha and cigarettes threatening to close their car.

Four police officers were arrested here in Gurugram for alleged extortion of a street seller who installed a camera in his cart, made a video of him giving money to the police and approached the police commissioner with his complaint, authorities said on Friday.
The four police station of the Police Station of sector 18 allegedly extorted the money of a street seller who sold tea, paratha and cigarettes threatening to close their car, they said.
A FIR was recorded against the four police, so Bijendra Kumar, the chief of Agent Rajbir, the Ajay Kumar and Spo Anil, and sent to the judicial custody after being produced in a city court, they added.
Gurugram Police Commissioner, Vikas Kumar Arora, said not only the four police officers, even the South Station station officer was also suspended for his lack of supervision.
A departmental investigation also begins against the five police. The case investigation has been delivered to ACPYOG, police said.
According to the complaint filed by Gulab Singh Sahu, the chief of Rajbir agent would arrive or would come to his car and demand money: RS 5,000 every week.
The agent chief threatened to close his car and remove his assets if he did not pay, said Sahu, a native or Darbhanga in Bihar.
The plaintiff said that despite the multiple requests, the head agent would come every week and take money from him, since he was helpless.
“After a while, Ajay and Ajay Ajay and Spo Anil or the experience personnel also began to come to their cart and moved away from 500 rupees to RS 1000 every week,” he said.
Later, he said he installed a camera to catch them on the spot.
Thus Bijendra has also released RS 10,000 in cash every month threatening to close its car, “Sahu added.
After the complaint, a FIR was recorded to the four police under relevant sections of the BNS at the Police Station of Sector 18 on Wednesday and the four police officers were arrested on Thursday.
“The Gurugram police work in a zero tolerance policy. If any employee or police officer is involved in any type of corruption, the rapid action will be tasks,” said a Gurugram police spokesman.
