T.N. CM Stalin distributes awards to three farmers for excellence in organic farming

Three farmers, one of the districts of Coimbatore, Tangupur and Nagapattinam, received the government of Tamil Nadu Nammazhvar Excellence Award in Organic Agriculture for this year. Prime Minister MK Stalin presented the awards at the Chennai Secretariat on Friday (May 2, 2025).

G. Sampathkumar of the Coimbatore district assured the first prize, while T. Jagadesh of the District of Tarupur and V. Kalidss from the Nagattinam district received the second and third prize, respectively. The first prize has a check for ₹ 2.5 Lakh and a medal, the second prize is a check for ₹ 1.5 Lakh and a medal, and the third prize is a check for ₹ 1 Lakh and a medal.

The Government of Tamil Nadu has been the organic agriculture of promotion in the State, and awareness campaigns were launched as part of its efforts to guarantee the production of food grains without chemicals. Also exposure visits organizations for students of secondary schools and upper universities in 386 blocks in the state to organic farms.

It can be remembered that Tamil Nadu’s government had also launched the main ministers Mannuyir Kaathu Mannuyir Kaappom Scheme to promote organic agriculture, improve soil fertility and guarantee foods free of pesticide waste and encourage farmers to the transition to sustainable agricultural practices.

He Nammazhvar The Prize encourages and honors farmers who practice and promote organic farmers and organic farmers. The Minister of Agriculture and Welfare of Farmers, MRK Pannereterselvam, the main secretary N. Muruganandam and the senior officials were present on the occasion.
