The former chief of the Maharashtra anti-terrorism squad (ATS) KP Raguvanshi believes that Tahawwur Rana-one of the key intellectual authors behind the terrorist attacks of Mumbai 26/11 that extradite India-Must in Mumbai ITSff.

In an exclusive conversation with CNN-NEWS18, Raguvanshi said that since atrocious crime occurred on the floor of Mumbai, the trial should also be held in a Mumbai court.

“It is a great day for India, since the true intellectual author of the attack of 11/26 will finally be taken before justice in our land,” Raguvanshi said. “Identally, it should be taken to Mumbai. The crime was executed here and, therefore, the jurisdiction meets Mumbai. It should face trial in the city where Hugdeds of Innocent

By explaining the process of extradition and legal formalities, Raguvanshi stressed that, according to the conditions of the treaty between India and the United States, Rana will be presented in the Court upon arrival and the judicial process will continue accordingly. He also pointed out that if the Indian government has granted a company to the United States regarding the nature of the punishment, the Indian court will be obliged to consider them while pronouncing the verdict.

He launched a parallel with the case of Abu Salem, who was extradited from Portugal under the condition that they would not grant him the death penalty. “In the case of Salem, the court had to respect the extradition agreement, which could not be hung since Portugal had abolished capital punishment. A similar condition, if applicable in the Rana case, will have to be honored,” he explained.

On the issue of frog security, Raguvanshi declared that police and prison authorities would need to make special arrangements. “It can be maintained in isolation or in the high security cell, where only a limited number of personnel can access it. Your interrogation could be crucial. We can discover new links or individuals involved in the attack, pleadularly IFTION, there.

Raguvanshi also made a significant distinction between Ajmal Kasab and Rana. “Kasab was just a soldier of his feet, following orders of his handlers. Rana, on the other hand, is an intellectual author who played a fundamental role in planning and facilitating the attack. His extradition marks a great advance in the search for the presentation of justice or the presentation of justice.”

Raguvanshi expressed his disappointment for the political situation that prevails in the state of Maharashtra and during the attack of the attack. “Post 26/11 attack against Mumbai, it was time to give an adequate response to Pakistan, but what happened here on our ground was disappointing since the upper brass renounced or was replaced.”
