The agencies are investigating the participation of the Shahadat module in the protests against the WAQF law through the Darsgah-Jihad-O-Shadat group, which had opposed the legislet. This scenario is similar to cases involving PFI and SDPI. The agencies believe that both groups of shalamist networks that connect the module with the protests and the evidence includes idological ties with foreign influences.

Darsgah-Jihad-O-Shadat claims to have trained about 50,000 people in self-defense techniques and has been accused or links with Al-Qaeda and numerous terrorist attacks throughout India. The active participation of the group in WAQF protests, such as the Rally in Hyderabad, connects it directly to the Shahadat module network.

The Shahadat module, a terrorist group burst in Western Bengal in June 2024, is connected to WAQF protests in April 2025 through its association with Darsgah-Jihad-Oshadat. This connection highlights how Islamist groups influence both radical activities and community protests, despite the challenges to point out specific roles.

The Shahadat module, which means martyrdom, was identified as a terrorist group that operates in Western Bengal and is al-qa-qa-qa-qa-qa-qaderabad darsgah-jadat. The module was dismantled by the special task force of Western Bengal in June 2024, and its leader, Mohammad Habibullah, a 21 -year -old computer student, was arrested along with five others.

The group had connections with terrorist outfits in Bangladesh and used cryptic messaging platforms such as ‘BIP’ and the Dark website for communication. They went to brilliant students, particularly in computer science, and used mosques and madrasas for radicalization. The young people also had the task of collecting confidential information about the bases of the Air Force of India and the Brahmastra body of the Indian army in Panagarh.

The evidence of the protests suggests an indirect connection between the Shahadat and Darsga-Jihad-Ao-Shadat module, an Islamist group based in Hyderabad with branches in Kerala, known for radicalization. This group actively participated in WAQF’s protests and organized a demonstration on Darulshifa land in Hyderabad on April 11 against the WAQF law.
