Three injured teachers continue with their hunger strike outside the service office of the Western Bengal School, as well as their classmates have changed the base after the government guarantee on April 11.

The three teachers are among the 26,000 people who lost their jobs after the order of the Supreme Court last week that annulled the work of thousands of teaching and non -teaching staff in the schools of the Western Bengal Government.

The teachers who have refused to give up their strike are Aluman Biswas, Pratap Kumar Saha and Pankaj Ray. Some of their classmates are also demonstrating sitting at the site in solidarity with fasting teachers.

This occurs after the State Minister of Education, Bratya Basu, with 12 representatives of the 26,000 people who lost their jobs during the night. The Government assured the protesters on April 11 that a list of ‘contaminated’ and ‘non -contaminated’ candidates will be published before April 21 after an adequate legal consultation.

One of the fasting teachers add Biswas: “A list of non -contaminated and deserving candidates is already present with the SSC, they are asked to publish it, we immediately cancel the hunger strike.” He added that until the moment they are not with their demands, they will not stop their fast.

“The government is only giving us false guarantees in the name of the meetings. They continue to change their position every second day,” added Mr. Biswas. His fast entered his third day on April 12 and the fourth day for his demonstration.

After the Government guarantee on April 11, the other thousands of teachers who were making a demonstration of sitting outside the SSC office have moved to their usual protest site Sahyd Minar in the esplanade area of Kolkata. Protestant teachers said they do not want to cause any obstacle in the life of common people, therefore, their decision to return, but they have also refused to stop their movement until the official list of the “not contaminated” work has been published.

After the meeting with the 12 representatives, Mr. Basu also said that teachers have assured him that no one is on hunger. A section of teachers has said that the three teachers who carry out the hunger strike are for their own will and is not the common action plan for the entire movement.

The Bharatiya Janata party, Lok Sabha deputy, Sukanta Majumdar, said the state government was about two years old to present the list of contaminated and not contaminated candidates. “Why didn’t they send these lists in advance? They have created all this complication and created problems for teachers and are now acting as saviors,” said Majumdar.

Responding to these accusations, the main leader of the Trinamool Congress and former deputy of Rajya Sabha SSC SSC had submitted all the necessary documents to the court.
