Toshiba Transmission Distribution Systems (India) PVT LTD will establish a new manufacturing installation for increased judges and will expand its existing manufacturing facilities of isolated gas transformers and switches on ITTH a ERRARAM plant in the state.
The project would have avant -garde technologies, improving existing capabilities to contribute to the growing demand in the TCD sector. The initiative is aligned with the vision of the state of attracting high -value investments, strengthening the growth plan of the electricity sector, industrial capacities and creating employment opportunities in the region.
The main secretary of Industries, Jayesh Ranjan and the president manager of TTDI Telangana, Hiroshi Furuta, signed a memorandum of understanding about the investment in the presence of Chief A. Revanth Reddy and the commercial director of Tosheta Energy. TTDI is a total property subsidiary of Tosiba Corporation and leader in the supply of CUM (TCD) transmission distribution equipment for conventional and renewable energy sources.
The CM said that the State was at the forefront of economic transformation, attracting global investors in multiple sectors through strategic collaborations and industry associations. Toshiba’s new investment reiterated the confidence of global companies in the business ecosystem in Telangana.
Mr. Hiroshi Furuta said that Telangana’s progress policies, the strong industrial ecosystem and the commitment to innovation made it an ideal destination for company’s investment.

The investment underlines TTDI’s commitment to provide innovative products and solutions for the TCD sector and strengthen the telengan position as a main destination for global technology and industrial investments. The initiative was part of the widest vision of TTDI to design, develop and manufacture TCD products for applications to the highest voltage level in India, supporting the “Make In India” initiative of the Government. TTDI would continue to play its role in the growth of the electricity sector in the transmission and distribution space during the next decade.
