Three people were killed in the Murshidabad district in protests of the violence against WAQF’s law (amendment) 2025, police said on Saturday.
The West Bengal police have arrested 150 people in relation to Murshidabad’s violence. According to a police statement, appropriate police forces have been deployed on the legs in Samsergerj, Dhuliyan, Suti and other affected areas to maintain order.
On Sunday, Majumdar lashed out at the Prime Minister on Murshidabad’s violence and said that if the BJP forms the government in the state, strict measures against perpetrators will be taken.
