Two sisters, four and five respectively, died of “suffocation” after being accidentally locked inside a car in the Ranga Reddy district in Telangana on Monday. According to the reports, the incident occurred in the village of Damargidda around 2 in the afternoon when the girls, both cousins, while playing, parked out of their grandparents’ house.
The two girls entered the vehicle and went unnoticed for an hour. Neither their parents nor their other family members knew that the children had goths locked in the car.
“The children get used to the outside and opened the car and sat inside the vehicle without being noticed. They remained in the car for an hour and fell unconscious due to suffocation,” said the police.
Police reported that the parents, after about 30-45 minutes, found unconscious girls in the car. After this, the girls were immediately transferred to a government hospital, where they were declared dead.
The children, along with their parents, had come to their relative’s house in Damargidda to attend a marriage ceremony.
The police after learning about the incident hastened the hospital, but the parents had bodies tasks to their respect native villages.
So far no complaint was filed in relation to the incident, police said.
