The Minister of the Union, Nitin Gadkari, will inaugurate and establish the base of road projects worth ₹ 4000 million rupees in Odisha on Thursday (April 17, 2025), said an official statement.

The Minister of the Union of Transportation and Highway Roads was welcome by the principal minister Mohan Charan Majhi and the state president of BJP, Manmohan Samal, his arrival at Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar.

Hey began his one -day tour of the Eastern State by attending the commemorative conference of Dr. Harekrushna Mahatab at Ravenshaw University in Cuttack, commemorating the anniversary of the birth of former prime minister.

Mr. Gadkari will offer a commemorative conference on ‘Infrastructure and Odisha development’ and will attend a national conference on the occasion of the 125th anniversary of Mahatab’s birth.

The Minister of the Union will visit the World Skills Center here in the afternoon, according to the statement.

It will open and place the stone of the base of 19 national road projects worth 4000 million rupees in a public meeting in Baramunda Maidan in Bhubaneswar around 4.30 pm.

The projects will cover 105 km of roads in the districts of Khurda, Puri, Ganjam, Kandhamal and Nayagarh.

Key projects include the stretch of four Banarpal-Godibandha lanes, widened from the Daringbadi Ghat portion in NH-59 and expanding or NH-10 (mangalpur to Kayangola).

“It is also expected that Gadkari will make some ads on new infrastructure initiatives and plans to accelerate the expansion of national roads in Odisha,” said Works Minister, Prithviraj Haricandan.
